SCI International & CT Chapter Members and Friends,
As many of us are returning from a very exciting and successful SCI Convention in Nashville we are putting together the final preparation for our major fundraiser coming up March 21, 2026, returning to Woodwinds in Branford, CT. To follow up with the Convention for those who have not attended it is something to put on your bucket list. It is an amazing experience and a perfect place to fully understand what SCI does to protect hunting and conservation not only in the USA but globally.
To get down to business, this Thursday (February 26, 2026) we will be having our monthly general meeting at Biagetti’s (77 Campbell Ave, West Haven CT) with dinner and or drinks starting at 6 p.m. with meeting to follow at 7. It will be a good time to reflect on 2025 hunts and adventures and what’s planned for 2026. We will follow by reviewing the banquet.
As we approach the Banquet, we have a few requests to make it a successful event. Each year we try to surpass the previous year’s event, great food, the best bucket, silent and live auction in the state with other likeminded friends and organizations.
How to help,
– Number 1, ticket sales. Individual ($75), or tables of 8, 10, or 12 ($65 per ticket).
– Ad book/program, starting at $25 up to $500.
– Donations, for any of the raffles. Years past donors made theme baskets for the silent auction. Any donation large or small is greatly appreciated.
– Pictures and a note of a 2025 adventure for the Chapter Yearbook, which will be in the program.
– Game meat for hors d’oeuvres. This year we have a choice of a traditional dinner at Woodwinds with their 15 passed and table hors d’oeuvres plus our traditional alligator. We are looking for additional game meat for Woodwinds to prepare in addition with the hors d’oeuvres.
If you cannot attend the banquet anyone of the above donations helps make the night a success.
Thank you for your past and continued support.
Greg Buonocore and the banquet committee.
